Alex Michaud

Alex Michaud is a licensed mental health professional and co-owner of Riverpath Counseling Colorado with his wife, Melissa.

“As far back as I can remember, I’ve wanted to help people live the life they really wanted, not just the one they felt they were given; I’m very fortunate to be able to do that for so many individuals, couples and families through Riverpath. We all face our own struggles, conflicts, doubts and fears and I want to help you through those, human to human. As a therapist, I see my role as your support and guide on the journey and an alternative perspective to what you normally see. Together, we’ll identify what you want to be different and then we will walk that road together.”

Alex earned his Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Georgia State University and his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at Northeastern University. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC).

Alex’s experience includes a long history of working with the Autism community, those navigating through Cancer diagnoses, and a wide range of concerns in private practice. In addition, Alex has specialized training in Play Therapy and Adventure Therapy.

Alex and Melissa live with their son Benjamin and chihuahua Peanut in the Thornton area. He loves excellent coffee, great music, being outdoors and spending time with friends and family. Because of his background in comprehensive and holistic treatment, Alex is thrilled to be collaborating with Mederi Health. He is looking forward to helping clients find well-being of both mind and body through great collaborative care.
